I have long admired Queen Elizabeth, why? Simply because is the epitome of grace and subservience to the crown. It’s not easy to be confined to the rules set by the crown. She was born into the royal family, BUT it wasn’t until her uncle’s abdication that their family was thrust into the spotlight and she became heir to the throne.
Early in life, she has shown elegance and grace – perhaps she knew what the responsibility entailed and she was prepared for it at an early age. She became queen at 25 and served as queen until her dying breath.
Now that she has passed, all her titles are now transferred to Charles, her first born son – he is now styled as King Charles III.
I remember watching an episode of The Crown, where the queen was asked what name she wanted to be called – and it struck her as odd that she would name herself otherwise.
