One thing I have neglected is my skin. I know, I know – I should take better care of my skin. Well, I try my best – I buy quality products and use them when I remember. You see, growing up – I was exposed to my elders doing make-up, I rarely saw them do skin care. My mom wasn’t religious when it comes to skin care BUT I saw how the put a premium on the products that she uses. She tells me to use ‘Asian’ brands because they know Asian skin better.
When I was a teenager, my skin was weird – there would be times that I would be super oily and there are times (only a few, I think) that it would be dry. It was hard for me finding the right brand and consistency of moisturizer as I had very sensitive skin. My mom would buy me a certain brand and it would work for a few times, and then the rest I would feel my skin tighten and heat up, I was reacting quite differently compared to when I started. There was an adjustment period, and to be honest – I grew tired of it.
Nowadays, there are so many brands to choose from! There are so many wonderful ingredients too! About three weeks ago, I received this pretty set from Element Mom.
The packaging is very nice and classy. I opened them up to find that they’re both sealed. That alone needs a mention in this entry. It’s really packed hygienically, I like! I read the ingredients and saw that it Cica – something I read about recently that helps soothe irritated skin. Since I have sensitive skin, I was so happy to learn that I can use this. I was honestly nervous because, what if I experience irritation, right?! I tried the Dose of Serenity Daily Sothing Serum Pads and I am happy to report that I experienced NO bad side effects – no irritation, no rash, no sting – ONLY that my skin felt hydrated. I have been using it for a few weeks and I am quite happy and impressed by it! Each thin pad is soaked with serum and I placed it on my nose for 3 minutes, right after, I moved it to my chin area (as those areas are the usual dry patches on my skin) Lovely!
The other product was the Mega Moisturizing Stretch Mark Cream. Boy, how I wish the product was available four years ago. But you know where I tried it? I used it on my neck! I remember reading that our neck part is one of the most neglected skin in our body, we put all the products on our faces, but never the neck – so I used this on my neck. I apply it on my neck area before sleeping. It feels quite heavy BUT I appreciate the consistency as the neck needs moisturizing too!
I’m quite happy with these products and I would recommend them. I do know that Element Mom products are made especially for pregnant moms, but for me that only means that the ingredients used in the products are well thought of, researched and very very safe for everyone.

If you have friends or family member who are expecting of who just gave birth, this is a wonderful gift idea for them. While most everyone will give gifts for the newborn – this is something for the new mom! We gotta take care of the moms too, am I right?!
