I know I am late to the game, but I just recently started to enjoy Netflix. I know of Netflix and I have heard how wonderful its services are – but I never really got to try it nor use it, there was never an opportunity. But just this year – we started to subscribe to it. And I tell you, it is truly addicting.
Since subscribing – I have watched the whole series of Gilmore Girls. I have now finally understood the love for the show, because I myself have fallen in love with the show and the characters. I especially LOVED the dialogue and banter between the character. I have mostly laughed and on a number of times cried while watching the show. I feel that the show is still relevant to me. There are times that Kailee would watch with me, I feel that the show is a ‘safe’ show to watch. It’s funny, it’s quirky, it’s brilliantly written. Oh, and I just learned that the show was made by Amy Sherman Palladino, who also made a favorite show of mine – The Marvelous Mrs. Maizel. It was then that I realized why I was drawn to watch the series.
The next things I enjoyed watching were the Korean series. My forever favorite – Descendants of the Sun is on Netflix so I can rewatch the parts that I like. I remember watching Crash Landing on You on my phone with no volume becaus Panget was sleeping – so I was really glad to catch it on Netflix on TV with audio and subtitles. I confess, I couldn’t relate to the piano piece of Captain Ri because I never heard it before, hahaha!! 🙂
Now, I am watching Designated Survivor – I remember it was cancelled but it was continued on in Netflix, so I’m watching that now. I realized that I like watching a series with so much dialogue – I really appreciate listening, it’s therapeutic!
I just finished watching Hometown Cha Cha Cha, and I really enjoyed it mainly because there wasn’t so much drama. It was a cutesy, feel good series that is quite entertaining. Chief Hong is really a GREAT actor – this is my first time to watch him, but his acting is superb! You can see immediately if he’s happy, sad or disturbed – he’s really good! Ms. Dentist on the other hand is quite pretty and super cute as well. My favorite has to be Grandma and the kids Ju-ri and Bo-Ra! The ending is perfect – and so is the soundtrack. The soundtrack carried the show very well too!
Then there’s the most famous Squid Game. I saw this first before Alice in Borderland, so this was quite interesting. I wasn’t shocked with the gore and violence because my Panget has desensitized me on these kinds of themes already. I enjoyed the english dubbing, so I can concentrate on the other details of the show like the visuals!
As for my children, they are enjoyng Number Blocks immensely. Shobe would request to watch it and I oblige – because it’s educational and it’s MATH! Kailee and Connor now sing along with the theme – last song syndrome! Which is good, right?
Oh, the joys of Netflix.
