Most of you know that I don’t eat raw fish. I eat salmon raw BUT it has to be with sushi rice or aburi style. Panget and Kailee LOVES salmon sashimi so when we received the salmon cake, we were very happy campers!
Our first impression when we opened to box was that the salmon cake was very very pretty! There was no fishy smell and it looked really fresh. Kailee was so excited when she saw it! Hahaha.. But we had to wait for dinner so Panget can also enjoy it.
During dinner, Panget’s eyes lit up when he saw the salmon cake. He was the first one to have it – and he was happy with the quality of the salmon. Panget started eating the top layer of the salmon cake. When it was almost finished, I noticed that there was something else in the middle of the cake, so I looked closely and saw that there was another style of salmon in the salmon cake. There was sushi rice pala! I then realized, why didn’t we slice the salmon cake – like a regular cake! Hahahahaha.. We were all pleasantly surprised and it made us enjoy having it more! And look at the aftermath.
It was such a wonderful treat to be honest. Something I didn’t really expect – we were all taken by surprise and what a wonderful surprise it was! Salmon HQ also sent over some of their sushi bakes for us to try and I have to say, they were all very good too!
They sent over four (4) flavors so we can try them and it’s brilliant actually because we get to try all of them and we’re left with wanting more. Yes, that is the kind of food and taste impression that you’d want to leave – a lasting one. One that will make them want to order again!
The next images look really messy but I want to showcase what’s inside Salmon HQs sushi bake, so here goes!
Each sushi bake was loaded with toppings and were all very very flavorful. Every bite is a wonderful treat for our taste buds. We really enjoyed them despite the mess. If you want something out of the ordinary, I suggest that you try and order some SalmonHQ goodness. I promise, you will not be disappointed.
