When I was younger, I remember this buko juice that my mom would ALWAYS buy whenever we were at Unimart or in Greenhills. It was milky and tasted different. Imagine ha, EVERY trip to Greenhills will never be complete without that buko juice. I eventually learned that, that buko juice was infused with pandan. I didn’t know the taste of pandan until I was an adult. Hahaha!
Buko has always been part of our lives. We see it everywhere. It’s tradition that my mom makes her buko fruit salad for Christmas and New Year’s Eve. One main reason why I love it so much is because – well, I get UTI. And coconut water/juice is a natural remedy. I would usually ask one of our staff to go to the market nearby and buy. But because of COVID19 – well, it is not safe anymore.
There’s place where you can buy a liter of buko juice. But I wanted more, I was hoping there would be a gallon container of buko juice. It just so happened that I was targeted for an IG ad – and this was, Louie’s Buko. I scrolled through their IG feed and saw that they had this gallon jug. I inquired and ordered.
The ordering was seamless. The delivery was made immediate too, I’m also lucky that we’re sort of in the same area. I guess, it was meant to be because that means one thing – I can get my gallon buko juice fix anytime. Hahahaha!!
The gallon jug is P390 pesos. When you think about it – the price is reasonable. In the market – a piece of buko is P30 to P35 pesos. The coconut water is about 300ml? One gallon has 3.7liters – that’s 3,700ml. Compute it and it comes out not so bad. The advantage from buying Louie’s Buko are that – it’s cleaner, it’s in a jug and its cold! Convenient right?
I enjoyed my gallon buko juice from Louie’s Buko. I would like to order this regularly because it’s healthy. I think they’re coming out with a subscription soon!
