When the lockdown started, I found it quite odd that I had a lot of time on my hands. I woke up everyday thinking of what to cook for lunch and dinner for my family. Then one day, I took the plunge and bought some bread flour and yeast. You read about my #Focaccia baking experience right? Well, I wasn’t just satisfied with making one. I made another and then another and then another. I gave it to my friends to try, my goal was just to make it taste and look better.
It was my friend Kath who gave me the idea to try and sell it. At first, I was hesitant because – well, it was quite long to make. Then I gave my sister in law, Liza a piece to try. She also said that I can try selling it. I gave a few friends to try because I wanted some feedback and they all gave me positive ones. So I made more and posted my creations on my Instagram feed and the feedback I received was heartwarming. Friends encouraged me to start selling. To be honest, the idea was floating one – I was thinking of another thing altogether, but then suddenly – it just hit me. Why not try my hand at it! I mean, if a few friends want to buy it, why not?!
I sold some to friends – thinking this was just a weekend baking thing. But because we’re still on a modified lock down, I am given time to bake and bake I did! A good friend suggested to make a separate IG account and an FB account too. What was bothering me was the thought if I can handle two separate social media accounts? Am I up for it? I was
